Cynefin - A Poetry Workshop
On: Saturday Febuary 14th
From: 10am- 12.30pm
At: Chester Cathedral
Cynefin is a Welsh word that defies direct translation. It describes the experience of belonging - to our physical locality, family and community (both cultural and spiritual). As a felt reality that slips the net of easy definition, cynefin is well suited to an approach from a poetic angle.
In this workshop, we will explore facets of belonging and identity, drawing particularly on the work of Welsh poets. There will be the opportunity for poetry created here to contribute to Welsh poet Jonathan Edwards’ poetry reading on the eve of St David’s Day, 28 February, in Chester Cathedral Refectory, at 6pm.
