Journalling Through our Journeys
5-session course running from September through to November, at Gladstone's Library Hawarden ( Mondays 10-12) and online on Zoom (Thursdays 7-9pm)
Journalling can help us treasure our experiences; order our thoughts; express and manage our feelings; gain insight and support us through tough times. It make is less likely that we will look back with the sense that ‘we had the experience but missed the meaning.’
Are you wanting to journal but don’t know where to start? Or an experienced journaller who looking for some fresh approaches ? Perhaps you have come into a particular season in life that is inviting you to journal in a new way.
Over 5 sessions this course will explore how we can develop and deepen our journaling practice and creativity. We will focus on different processes that we experience amid life’s challenges, and look at how we can navigate creative and fruitful pathways through. The course will be linked but not limited to the newly-published ‘Writing the Journeys We Never Wanted to Make.’

Poetry of Pilgrimage - A Poetry Workshop
On: Saturday October 11th
From: 10am- 12 Noon
At: Chester Cathedral
A pilgrimage is a transformational journey into territory beyond the everyday - and where the language of poetry may be especially called on to chart new experience. Throughout October, Chester Cathedral is hosting events to highlight the themes of Dante’s poetic pilgrimage through Purgatory in his classic visionary poem Divine Comedy.
in this workshop, we come to write as fellow pilgrim-poets, exploring how poetry can express the soul’s journey. We will take inspiration from the art exhibition that is part of the Purgatory Project.
